Donations
Dorothy Day Hospitality House does not solicit funds from local, state
or national government agencies. About half the necessary food and supplies
are donated; the remainder and other expenses (rent, utilities, etc) must
be covered by cash donations from individuals, churches, corporations and
other community organizations.
Please see our Wish List for a list of supplies that we need. The best time to bring donations to Dorothy Day House is between 1pm and
3pm when the cooking crew is preparing the daily meal. It's a good idea
to call (203-743-7988) to make sure someone is at the kitchen before dropping

Dorothy Day House has limited storage facillities, so we are unable to
accept clothes donations (except for adult ski jackets, warm gloves,
hats, scarves and socks), household goods or furniture. Here's a
